Integrated Mechanical & Compliance Services at Whitmore High School

Project Overview

Since April 2022, Well Planned FM has delivered a comprehensive programme of mechanical, water hygiene, and statutory compliance services at Whitmore High School on behalf of principle contractor G&D Higgins. Our objective has been to maintain operational safety, legal compliance, and system efficiency across all key mechanical and water-based infrastructure within the school. Services provided span planned preventive maintenance (PPM), responsive works, compliance testing, and specialist mechanical support.

Scope of Services Delivered

Mechanical & HVAC Systems

  • Full maintenance and inspection of Boilers, AHUs, Air Conditioning Units, and F-Gas systems
  • Testing and servicing of Emergency Stop Buttons, Gas 5-Year Tightness Testing, Pressure Vessels, and Pressurisation Units
  • Routine checks on Shut-Off Valves, Radiators and Radiant Panels, Solenoid Valves, Underfloor Heating, and Grilles & Diffusers

Water Hygiene & Legionella Compliance

  • Monthly Temperature Monitoring, Sampling, and TMV Servicing
  • Disinfection and inspection of Cold Water Storage Tanks (CWST), Calorifiers, Showers, and Drinking Water Outlets
  • Closed system testing and LTHW dosing to protect against corrosion and bacterial growth
  • Full Legionella Risk Assessment and ongoing management in accordance with ACoP L8 & HSG274

Additional Building Services

  • Emergency Lighting Tests: Monthly Flick and Annual 3-Hour Drain Down
  • Kitchen Grease Extract maintenance and Fire Damper inspections
  • Servicing of Ground Source Heat Pumps, Expansion Vessels, Plate Heat Exchangers, and UV Disinfection Units
  • Management of GWT & Rainwater Tanks, Pumps, Insect Killers, and Overdoor Electric Heaters

Project Delivery

The contract is delivered by a dedicated team of DBS-checked engineers, coordinated through our CAFM platform (JobLogic) to ensure precise scheduling, digital reporting, and complete task transparency. Progress is reviewed regularly in partnership with principal contractor and school leadership to align performance against SLAs.
