In 2023, Well Water was engaged to conduct comprehensive Legionella risk assessments across various leisure centres in Lambeth. The goal was to identify potential risks associated with Legionella bacteria in the water systems of these facilities and to provide recommendations to ensure ongoing compliance with health and safety regulations.
Scope of Work:
Our scope of work focused on delivering detailed Legionella risk assessments, which included:
- Assessment of Water Systems: A thorough evaluation of all water systems, including hot and cold-water supplies, showers, and pools, to identify areas at risk for Legionella proliferation.
- Site Inspections: On-site inspections to examine storage tanks, pipework, and outlets, focusing on temperature control, scale, and sediment build-up.
- Evaluation of Current Control Measures: Review of existing Legionella management protocols and assessment of their effectiveness in mitigating risks.
